Meet Amanda
Hi, I’m Amanda Stearns, the heart and hands behind Ula & Violet. I live in Eastern Washington, where I spend my days creating, learning, and looking for simple ways to bring a little more kindness and faith into everyday life.
I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Applied Behavioral Sciences with a minor in Psychology. For more than fifteen years, I worked with children and families, and today I serve adults who are navigating some of life’s hardest challenges. In my current work, I walk alongside people facing poverty, addiction, recovery, mental health struggles, physical limitations, and the many complex situations that shape real lives. That experience has shaped me deeply and taught me the power of compassion, patience, and practical support.
My faith has always been part of who I am. Even in seasons when life felt uncertain, I kept it quietly tucked away in my heart. Over time, I found my way back to a daily rhythm of prayer and Scripture, and that gentle return changed everything. I believe faith grows best when it is rooted in love, grace, and mercy—never in pressure or perfection.
Ula & Violet was created as a blend of all the parts of my life: faith, creativity, and a desire to help others in practical, meaningful ways. What began as a small idea grew into a space where simple tools, thoughtful products, and encouraging resources come together to support everyday spiritual growth. My hope is that this corner of the internet feels welcoming, safe, and useful for anyone who wants to take small, steady steps forward in their faith.
When I’m not working or creating, you can usually find me with a cup of coffee in hand, enjoying art, baking something in the kitchen, listening to music, or dreaming about the ocean. I love nature, animals, traveling, and finding beauty in ordinary moments. I am both practical and creative, empathetic and organized, and I care deeply about helping people feel seen and supported.
Above all, my goal with Ula & Violet is simple: to offer tools and encouragement that make faith feel approachable and life feel a little lighter. I’m glad you’re here.
