God Uses the Flawed Folk

There is something powerful that happens when you begin to realize how God truly works.

For a long time, it is easy to believe that God only uses the polished people. The ones who seem to have it all together. The ones who never stumbled, never fell, never wandered too far from the herd.

But that is not the story Scripture tells. And it is not the story my own life tells either.

I am starting to understand that God not only loves us all, but He intentionally uses flawed folk to help other flawed folk. He meets us where we are, heals us where we hurt, and then sends us back out as shepherds and seed planters.

He knows that people relate to people. We listen more closely to those who have walked in similar shoes. Advice from a distance can feel hollow, but hope from someone who has been in the same valley carries weight.

God chooses those who have lived the struggle and come out the other side to find the sheep who have wandered from the herd. He chooses the ones who remember what it feels like to be lost to help others find their way home.

That is grace in action.

I have walked in shoes of abuse, neglect, self-harm, and addiction. I have known dark places and heavy seasons. I have felt forgotten and broken and unsure if healing was even possible.

And yet God never wasted a single step of that journey.

He placed me in spaces where I can now reach those who are living in those same places. He allows me to sit with them, listen to them, and minister to them in ways only someone who has been there truly can. Not from a place of perfection, but from a place of understanding.

God uses the flawed folk to reach the flawed folk.

That truth is at the heart of Ula & Violet. It is not a brand built by someone who has it all figured out. It is built by someone who has been carried by grace and wants to pass that grace along.

We are not called to be perfect shepherds. We are simply called to care for the one sheep in front of us.

We are not called to grow entire fields overnight. We are called to plant seeds wherever God places us.
